The foods you intend to import can be broadly divided into four categories. Each category requires different procedures, so please select your import item.

Agricultural, Livestock, and Marine Products

• Description: Unprocessed raw materials in their natural form

• Examples: Rice, coffee beans, pineapples, beef, fish, etc.

• Note: Quarantine inspection must be prepared together.

Processed Foods

• Description: Foods made by cooking or processing raw materials into new forms

• Examples: Snacks, bread, ramen, canned foods, beverages, sauces, etc.

• Note: Ingredient labeling, production process, and shelf life management are important.

Food Additives

• Description: Substances added when making or preserving foods

• Examples: Sweeteners, coloring agents, preservatives, stabilizers, etc.

• Note: If imported separately as “additives,” they are classified independently from raw materials.

Health Functional Foods

• Description: Foods with specific functions that help maintain health

• Examples: Vitamin/mineral supplements, omega-3, probiotics, red ginseng products, etc.

• Note: Stricter inspection standards apply compared to general processed foods.

A review fee of KRW 100,000 (VAT excluded) will be charged per item before document review.

·

Agricultural products are subject to plant quarantine, and the original phytosanitary certificate must be submitted upon import.
